Why Roasted Coffee Degasses

Whole-bean or ground roasted coffee is packed while it continues to release gas, and the sealed pack needs a controlled pressure-relief route.

Very small portions, unusually long rest time before packing, a different package format or a modified-atmosphere process can change the decision.
Not a freshness guarantee
